Start with Known Barometric Pressure
for your Location
Use
or to highlight the Altitude” screen
Press to enter the “REF ALT” screen
When “Sync Barois turnedOn,” the current
Altitude data is automatically used as a reference
for Barometric Pressure, and both screens will
show accurate readings.

“Density Altitude” screen data is calculated from the
absolute values of station pressure, relative humidity and
temp., and is not aected by the reference values entered in
the “Baro” andAltitude” screens.
To transfer your Kestrel’s real-time and logged data
wirelessly and automatically to a laptop or PDA,
follow these set up steps.
ENABLE THE KESTREL’S BLUETOOTH CAPABILITY
• Press
to enter the Main Menu.

Set BLUETOOTH Range
In Bluetooth screen:

Obtain your Kestrel BLUETOOTH PIN and ID
For added security, each Kestrel comes with a
unique PIN and ID number to ensure proper
pairing.
In the Bluetooth screen:

to highlight “Info,then press to view
your unique ID and PIN.
